Founded in 1986, Dransco Inc. offers pressure control service and rentals to the oilfield industry.
Humble Beginnings
Richard Hebert was exposed at an early age to the oil and gas industry by his father, LeRoy Herbert. Leroy worked for Schlumberger early in his career; he later partnered up with a friend and formed Lab Rentals. Richard and his younger brother Steve worked for their father on and off until he passed away at an early age. When LeRoy passed away, Richard approached Steve and his other siblings about being involved in the family business. Most of them declined and Richard decided to start his own business and founded Dransco.
In 1986, Richard began Dransco, Inc., centering his business around pressure control service and rentals. He ensured quality by offering sound equipment and personnel. Richard spent more time on training than most small companies and although at first growth was slow, when it finally came, the employees, service, and knowledge were second to none. Richard adamantly stays behind this training today as Dransco continues to grow and diversify. Richard also taught grease classes to employees of other companies such as Haliburton, Schlumberger, and more, so his knowledge of grease pressure control is extensive and like people say “everything is simple when nothing goes wrong” and “You can tell what a person is made of when nothing goes right.”
Dransco has made many changes since the early days, but the important principles and superior work ethic that Richard learned and applied will never change. These core values are the driving force of Dransco Inc. and the main reason for their success in securing such a strong place in the market.
